Katy Barglow, PhD

Katy Barglow, PhD, serves as Chief Technical Officer. She joined 4DMT in 2017, holding various roles, most recently as SVP, Technical Operations. Over her tenure at 4DMT, Dr. Barglow helped to build and scale the company’s AAV production and analytical capabilities from the ground up. Under her leadership, the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) organization has successfully supported six IND filings, guided programs through early and late-phase clinical development and positioned 4DMT for commercial launch.

Dr. Barglow’s career spans senior roles at Baxter Biosciences, Novartis, and Grifols Diagnostics, where she honed expertise in biologics manufacturing, analytical development, and operational leadership. Dr. Barglow holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University, a PhD in Chemical Biology from The Scripps Research Institute and completed postdoctoral training at UC Berkeley.
